Here’s a nice video tribute to the last Garry Shider, of Parliament-Funkadelic and Bootsy’s Rubber Band died on June 16, of brain and lung cancer diagnosed in March, according to reports. To quote The Washington Post:
Mr. Shider often took to the stage wearing only a loincloth — an act for which his fans dubbed him the “diaperman.” He frequently served as band director for Parliament-Funkadelic while sharing guitar duties with Eddie Hazel and also performed with Bootsy’s Rubber Band, led by Funkadelic bassist Bootsy Collins…
Even if you can’t watch until the end, it’s definitely worth checking out for a few minutes.

Snoop and Beckham do Star Wars
NOW…the World Cup is starting to get reeeeallllllly interesting. The surprising scorelines mean that there is everything to play for, and no one is safe! There have been some excellent World Cup related adverts, too, including this one from adidas, featuring Ian Brown, Snoop (hilarious and very dapper with a ‘lightsaber’) and David Beckham (who looks pretty and has only one line. The Directors decided to work to his strengths, evidently lol).
